Although we would love to have you visit our church, we are much more concerned about where you will spend eternity.  In God’s Word, the Bible, we find the wonderful message of the Gospel.  It is the good news that God has provided a way of salvation and the forgiveness of sins forever through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  We invite you to please carefully consider whether you have ever received God’s gift of eternal life by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.   

The message of the Gospel involves several very important truths: 

1.                  You are a sinner.

  “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.,” Romans 3:23

“But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.”  Galatians 3:22

2.                  God’s penalty for sin is eternal death.

“For the wages of sin is death”  Romans 6:23   

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,”  Hebrews 9:27 

3.                  You cannot save yourself.

“And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags.”   Isaiah 64:6

 “So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”  Romans 8:8

 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”  Ephesians 2:8-9

(Our best efforts fall far short of God’s perfect standard of righteousness.)

        4.                  Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for your sins.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 5:8 

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.”  1 Peter 3:18 

5.                  Jesus Christ is God’s only way of forgiveness for sins and eternal life.

“Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  John 14:6 

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

“And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.”  1 John 4:14 

6.                  By repenting of your sins and trusting in Jesus Christ alone, you can receive forgiveness for your sins and God’s gift of eternal life.

“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”   Acts 3:19 

“So they said,"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." Acts 16:31 

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Romans 5:1 

“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.”  1 John 4:9

 “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”  1 John 5:11-13

 The Lord Jesus said in John 5:24, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”  If you have not yet turned from your sin and trusted in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, what is keeping you from trusting in Him right now?  There is nothing in this life more important than knowing Jesus Christ and trusting  in Him for your salvation.  Why not pray to Him and call upon Him to be your Savior today?
